How to design the water-cooled screw chiller?


Water-cooled screw chiller selection process: calculate each individual space load→select end→select host→calculate cold/heat load→confirm;


Indoor load calculation: indoor load (W) = room area (m2) × unit load (W/m2)


Note: The selection of load indicators needs to take into account the actual situation on site.


End selection: Select the appropriate end form according to load, noise, installation space and other conditions.


Host selection: Generally, the host is selected according to the coefficient of 0.7-0.8 at the same time. When selecting the host, it is preferred to select 2 units, no need to consider standby. (The system has special requirements that must be continuously operated, and an alternate refrigerator can be set.)


Calculate the heat load: there is a need for accounting for heating demand, and no need to calculate.


After selecting the host and the end, the thermal load is calculated. If it is satisfied, it can be directly selected. If it is not satisfied, the end of the heat load should be selected according to the heat load, and then the cold load should be calculated until the hot and cold load meets the demand.


Selection case:


Example: Construction situation: The construction area of an office building is 13000m2, and the air-conditioning area is 12000m2. The large conference room area is 800m2, the small conference room area is 2000m2, and the office building construction area is 9200m2. There is new wind demand and no heating demand.


A. Calculate the cooling load.


a. Estimated by air conditioning cold load method:
