Water-cooled screw chiller pipe connection precautions
After the water-cooled screw chiller is installed, the water system pipeline installation is carried out, or the arranged water system pipeline is connected with the water outlet of the unit evaporator and the condenser.
General requirements:
1. The installation and heat preservation of the water pipeline of the air-conditioning system shall be designed and guided by professional designers, and the corresponding provisions of the HVAC installation specifications shall be implemented.
2. The inlet and outlet pipes should be connected according to the requirements on the unit. Generally, the condenser water pipe is pushed in and out; the evaporator refrigerant pipe side is the chilled water inlet side.
3. The water system must be equipped with a pump with appropriate flow and lift to ensure proper water supply to the unit. In addition to the shock-proof soft joint connection between the pump and the unit and the water system pipeline, the bracket should also be provided to avoid the unit being stressed. The welding work during installation should avoid damage to the unit.
4. Install a flow switch on the outlet pipe of the evaporator and condenser. Link the flow switch to the input contacts in the control cabinet. The installation requirements are as follows:
* The flow switch should be installed vertically on the outlet pipe;
* At least 5 pipe diameter straight pipe sections should be installed on both sides of the flow switch; do not install it near the elbow, orifice plate and valve;
* The arrow on the switch must point in the same direction as the water flow of the water pipe;
* To prevent the flow switch from tremble, all the gases in the water system should be drained.
* Adjust the flow switch so that it is in a disengaged state when the water flow is below the minimum flow (minimum flow is 40% of the design flow). When the water flow meets the requirements, the water flow switch should remain closed.
5. A water filter must be installed in front of the water inlet of the water-cooled screw chiller.
6. The system water pipeline flushing and heat preservation should be carried out before connecting with the unit to avoid damage to the unit due to dirt.
7. The water system is designed to withstand a water pressure of 1.0Mpa. To prevent damage to the evaporator and condenser, do not overpressure.
WARNING: Do not connect pipes to water-cooled screw chillers before they are flushed.
