Inspection items before water-cooled screw chiller operation (Part 2)
Water-cooled screw chiller water system inspection
1) Check if the cooling water and chilled water pipeline are cleaned, and if there are any impurities in the cooling tower, pool, etc., which are in communication with the outside, make sure there are no impurities or foreign matter inside the pipe.
2) Check if the connection between the pressure gauge and the thermometer on the water side is correct. The pressure gauge should be installed at 90° perpendicular to the water pipe. The thermometer should be installed so that the temperature probe is directly inserted into the water pipe.
3) Check if the freezer/cooling outlet side flow switch is properly installed and confirm that the flow switch and control cabinet are properly wired.
4) Jog the chilled water and the cooling water pump to check the pump steering. The correct pump steering should be clockwise, otherwise please re-detect the pump wiring.
5) Turn on the chilled water and cooling water pump to start the circulation. Check the water pipe for leaks and obvious water leakage and dripping.
6) Test the chilled water and cooling water pumps. Observe whether the water pressure is stable. Observe the inlet and outlet pressure gauge of the pump. When the water pressure is stable, the pressure gauge reading and the inlet and outlet pressure difference will be small. Observe whether the running current of the pump is within its rated operating current range. If the difference from the rated value is too large, please check if the system is too resistant. Please eliminate the system fault until the actual running current meets the requirements.
7) Check if the cooling tower/expansion tank hydration device is unblocked and whether the automatic exhaust valve in the water system can be automatically vented. If it is a manual exhaust valve, open the exhaust valve of the chilled water line and the cooling water line, even though the gas is inside.
8) Adjust the water flow and check whether the water pressure drop through the evaporator or condenser meets the requirements for normal operation of the unit.
Check to make sure other equipment such as the cooling tower fan is operating normally and there is no abnormal noise. If it is a belt drive, check whether the tension of the fan belt is appropriate, and ensure that the connecting belt between the fan and the motor does not slip during operation, and there is no abnormal noise.
Note: The cooling tower fan reversal will bring malfunction to the operation of the unit!
Check that the air conditioner terminal equipment is operating normally. Make sure that all the water valves and dampers are open.
The end device is free to open, no abnormal noise, and the air supply range and wind speed meet the design requirements.
Check that the control program and electrical components are working properly.
The above is the project that must be checked before the operation of the water-cooled screw chiller. I hope that everyone can have a reference.
